De Re Metallica es la publicación periódica de la Sociedad Española para la Defensa del Patrimonio Geológico y Minero. Se aceptarán artículos relacionados con los fines de la sociedad, que son los de promover, difundir y coordinar actividades encaminadas al estudio, inventario, protección, conservación y restauración del patrimonio geológico y minero-industrial.

De Re Metallica publicará trabajos originales en español e inglés. Solamente aquellos remitidos de acuerdo con las normas de publicación, serán enviados para su revisión a un mínimo de dos revisores externos, en su mayor parte ajenos a la institución editora.

De Re Metallica is the periodical publication of the Sociedad Española para la Defensa del Patrimonio Geológico y Minero. Articles related to the purposes of the society will be accepted, which are to promote, spread and coordinate activities aimed at the study, inventory, protection, conservation and restoration of the geological and mining-industrial heritage.

De Re Metallica will publish original works in Spanish and English. Only those submitted in accordance with the instruction for authors will be sent for review to a minimum of two external reviewers, mostly outside the publishing institution.

EXTENSIÓN

Extensión máxima de 20 páginas UNE A4, con tamaño de letra 12 pt, y espaciado de 1,5 (formato WORD).

TÍTULO

El título del artículo será breve e informativo de sus contenidos, y en especial deberá precisar el encuadre geográfico. Los originales en castellano deberán llevar el título también en inglés.

AUTORES

Los autores aparecerán con minúscula en el orden en que deseen ser citados. Primero las iniciales de sus nombres, seguidas del apellido o apellidos que quieran incluir. Se indicará el lugar de trabajo de cada uno de los autores, con la dirección completa y de correo electrónico.

RESUMEN

Se iniciará el texto con el apartado RESUMEN, el cual será representativo del contenido y temática del artículo. Se redactará en español e inglés, con una
extensión mínima de 100 palabras y máxima de 250 palabras en cada idioma, y 5 palabras claves en ambos idiomas.
Una palabra clave, es una palabra simple que identifica contenidos destacados del artículo. Las palabras clave en español deberán de estar ordenadas en estricto orden alfabético. Sin embargo, las keywords deberían de seguir el orden de las palabras clave en español. Ver ejemplo:
PALABRAS CLAVE: Almería, ferrocarril, hierro, historia, minería
KEYWORDS: Almería, railway, iron, history, mining

ESTRUCTURA

Los diferentes apartados del texto se titularán en mayúscula y negrita, sin numeración, siendo obligatorios los apartados de RESUMEN, INTRODUCCION, CONCLUSIONES y BIBLIOGRAFIA. El resto de los apartados y sus títulos, quedan a criterio del autor/autores del trabajo y guardarán relación con el texto que contengan.

Al apartado RESUMEN le seguirá el apartado de INTRODUCCIÓN en donde se definirán los objetivos que persigue el articulo y su alcance. En los casos que proceda, se incluirá un mapa de localización geográfica del área de trabajo.

Tras la INTRODUCCION, el cuerpo principal del texto incluirá los apartados que el autor/autores consideren oportunos y tras ellos le seguirá el apartado CONCLUSIONES en donde se recogerán los resultados finales y las aportaciones del artículo a la divulgacion del patrimonio geológico y minero-industrial.

El último apartado del articulo será el de BIBLIOGRAFÍA. En él solo se tendrán en cuenta, en orden alfabético, aquellas citas que estén referidas en el texto.

Solo y únicamente en el caso de que se hayan utilizado, como soporte y/o fuente de información para el texto, documentos procedentes de fondos de Archivos Públicos o Privados, Boletines Oficiales, Prensa, etc., se añadirá un último apartado denominándolo FONDOS DOCUMENTALES. En él solo se tendrán en cuenta, en orden alfabético, aquellas citas que estén referidas en el texto.

ILUSTRACIONES, TABLAS Y CUADROS

En lo que se refiera al material gráfico que acompaña al texto, es decir, las ilustraciones originales (figuras, mapas, fotografías, etc.), tablas y cuadros, se prepararán para ocupar una o dos columnas (80 ó 170 mm de ancho, 230 mm de alto) y se enviarán con una resolución mínima que permita su publicación con una calidad suficiente para su correcta legibilidad. Este material gráfico podrá ser en blanco y negro o en color, y se entregará siempre aparte del texto, indicando en éste su posición (resolución recomendada 300 ppi).

Las ilustraciones deberán ser originales y propiedad de los autores y, en caso de tener derechos de edición o reproducción, es responsabilidad de los autores el tramitar la autorización de su cesión para publicación en De Re Metallica. Se sugiere la no utilización de tramas grises en las figuras de línea, que pueden ser sustituidas por tramas de puntos de distintas densidades. Los pies de todas las ilustraciones, así como las explicaciones de las tablas y cuadros, deberán estar también traducidos al inglés.

No se permiten notas al pie de página. Ni para referencias a la bibliografía del cuerpo principal del texto, ni para referencias al contenido del cuerpo principal del texto, ni para otros asuntos.

REFERENCIAS BIBLIOGRÁFICAS Y DOCUMENTALES

Las referencias bibliográficas (y en su caso las documentales) irán incluidas únicamente en el cuerpo de texto principal (nunca en el pie de la página) y se consignarán los apellidos completos que usen los autores en el trabajo correspondiente, en minúsculas, citándose este en la BIBLIOGRAFÍA de igual forma que en el texto. En el caso de tres o más autores se utilizará «et al.» (en itálicas). Para las citas de un trabajo de dos autores, sus apellidos irán relacionados con la conjunción «y». Los nombres de las revistas deberán citarse completos, sin abreviaturas.

Ejemplos de formato para las citas en el apartado BIBLIOGRAFÍA:

a) Artículos de revistas: Schuster, W. and Thomson, T.J. 1991. Description of the natural factors affecting the environmental conditions in the site of Llandose (Illinois). c) Capítulos de libros: Ayala-Carcedo, F.J. 2000. Patrimonio natural y cultural y desarrollo sostenible: El patrimonio geológico y minero. En: I. Rábano (Ed.), Patrimonio Geológico y Minero en el marco del desarrollo sostenible. Instituto Geológico y Minero de España, Madrid, 17-39. Si es posible, se indicará el enlace web a su descarga digital.

d) Actas de congresos: Berrocal Caparrós, M.C. y Vidal Nieto, M. 1998. Catálogos de bienes muebles e inmuebles de la Sierra Minera de Cartagena-La Unión. IV Jornadas de Arqueología Regional, Murcia, 553-566. Si es posible, se indicará el enlace web a su descarga digital.

e) Informes y trabajos inéditos: Se citará el autor o autores, año de la realización y ubicación de dicho trabajo.

f) Páginas web: Se citará el título de la página, el autor o autores de esta, organismo o institución editora y lugar de origen del servidor, fecha de acceso a la información y dirección electrónica tanto de la página como del directorio raíz, así como un correo electrónico de contacto. Ejemplo: Kluwer Academic Publishers Information Service (KAPIS), Holanda, 24/03/99, http://www.wkap.nl.

Ejemplos de formato para las citas en el apartado FONDOS DOCUMENTALES:

a) Documentos de archivos: Se citará el nombre del archivo, fondo al que pertenece y signatura del documento. Si es posible, se indicará el enlace web a su descarga digital. Archivo General de la Región de Murcia, NOT,5170/f.242r-244v

b) Publicaciones oficiales y de prensa en general: Se citará el nombre de la publicación, día de su publicación y páginas donde está localizada la información. Si es posible, se indicará el enlace web a su descarga digital. La Crónica Meridional, 11-diciembre-1926, 33-35.

REMISIÓN DEL MANUSCRITO

El texto y el material gráfico de los artículos se enviará en formato digital al comité editorial de la revista. Solamente se considerarán para su publicación artículos originales e inéditos que hayan sido adaptados a estas Normas de Publicación.

PRUEBAS DE IMPRENTA

Al autor correspondiente, o primero de los firmantes, se le enviarán las pruebas del trabajo para su corrección. La misma atenderá únicamente a los errores de imprenta.

Publication standards

English

EXTENSION

Maximum length of 20 UNE A4 pages, width 12 pt font size, and 1.5 spacing (WORD format).

TITLE

The title of the article will be brief and provide information on the contents and shall, in particular, specify the geographical frame. The originals in English must also be titled in Spanish.

AUTHORS

The names of authors shall appear in lower case in the order in which they wish to be cited. First the first name/s, followed by the last name/s. The workplace of each of the authors must be indicated, together with their full postal and email addresses.

ABSTRACT

The text will begin with the ABSTRACT section, which will be representative of the article’s content and theme. It will be written in both Spanish and English, with a minimum length of 100 words and a maximum of 250 words in each language, and 5 keywords in both languages.
A keyword is a single word that identifies key content within the article. The palabras clave must be listed in strict alphabetical order. However, the English keywords should follow the same order as the palabras clave. See example:

SECTIONS OF THE PAPER

The different sections of the text will be titled in capital letters and bold, without numbering, with the sections ABSTRACT, INTRODUCTION, CONCLUSIONS and BIBLIOGRAPHY being obligatory. The rest of the sections and their titles are at the discretion of the author(s) of the work and will be related to the text they contain.

The ABSTRACT will be followed by the INTRODUCTION section, which will define the objectives of the article and its scope. Where appropriate, a map showing the geographical location of the work area will be included.

After the INTRODUCTION, the main body of the text will include the sections that the author(s) consider appropriate, followed by the CONCLUSIONS section, which will include the final results and the contributions of the article to the diffusion of geological and mining-industrial heritage.

The last section of the paper will be BIBLIOGRAPHY. Only those citations referenced in the text will be considered, in alphabetical order.

Only if documents from Public or Private Archives, Official Gazettes, Press, etc., have been used as support and/or source of information for the text, then will be added a final section entitled DOCUMENTARY FUNDS. Only those citations referenced in the text will be considered in this section, in alphabetical order.

ILLUSTRATIONS, TABLES AND CHARTS

Regarding the graphic material that complement the text, that is, the original illustrations (figures, maps, photographs, etc.), tables and charts, they will be designed to the extension of one or two columns (80 or 170 mm wide, 230 mm high) and will be sent with a minimum resolution that allows their publication with a quality enough for correct readability. This graphic material could be black and white or color, and will always be delivered separately from the text, indicating its position in the text (recommended resolution 300 ppi)

Illustrations must be original and property of the authors and, if they have publishing or reproduction rights, it is the responsibility of the authors to process the authorization of their transfer for publication in De Re Metallica. It is suggested that grey screens not be used in line figures, which can be replaced by dot screens of different densities. The footnotes of all illustrations, as well as the explanations of the tables and charts, must also be translated into English.

Footnotes at bottom of the page are not allowed. Neither for references to the bibliography of the main body of the text, nor for references to the contents of the main body of the text, nor for other matters.

 

BIBLIOGRAPHIC AND DOCUMENTARY REFERENCES

he bibliographical references (and documentary references, where applicable) will be always included in the main text (never at the bottom of the page), the full surnames used by the authors in the corresponding work must be recorded, in lower case, citing this in the BIBLIOGRAPHY in the same way as in the text. In the case of three or more authors, «et al.» (in italics) must be used. For citations of a work by two authors, their surnames must be related with the conjunction «and». The names of the journals must be cited in full, without abbreviations.

Examples of citations in the DOCUMENTARY FUNDS section:

The text and the graphic material of the articles will be sent in digital format to the editorial committee of the journal. Only original and unpublished articles will be considered for publication and that have been adapted to the present Publication Standards.
